As I said it was a quiet afternoon until we met them! The abandoned kids living in a home filled with joy and love evidenced by their laughter and smiles. All the worries, tiredness, and doubts fade away by just sharing moments of love with these kids. Their smiles and their enthusiasm of your presence heal you like a soothing balm. What else can one say with a smile like this...

A Trip to Childen's Haven


It was a very special afternoon! The Board of Trustees decided to drop a vist to one of their project recepients - the Children's Haven run by Phil and Cecile Seckler housing about forty abandoned children.

The President, Anna Claparols Balcells, affixing her signature on the corporate documents giving birth to her vision and dream of bringing joy to the people oa Negros Occidental particularly, the homeless ones, the children without homes, the abused ones, the malnourished and the sick. This dream is shared by her co-members of the Board of Trustees of the Kalipay Negrense Foundation, namely: Gigi Campos, Weng Jison, Belinda Tanpinco, Elaine Eleazar, John Gayoso and Joe Ma. Torres. Less than a week after its creation, the foundation has provided P720,000.00 to a Gawad Kalinga housing project in Talisay City, Negros Occidental and has extended financial assiatance of more than P200,000.00 to Haven Children Christian Ministry Foundation which operates a home for about 30 homeless children.
